I understand why you didn’t include Witness, but it is the only work of explicitly reactionary propaganda that I have ever considered a literary masterpiece.
The introduction alone is incredibly moving and if I had encountered it at a different point in my life it could have been very influential on my political and even personal development.
Also I would like to point people towards Alan Blooms translation of the Republic. Not only is it a great translation, but I think his commentary is very revealing of the more philosophical side of the Straussian's.
